Minutes to 11/10/09 Board meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:04

Present: Peter Aten, Win Stevens, Jean Heath

Not Present: Marty Lamarche

1) Accept minutes to prior meeting.

Win motioned to accept the minutes. Peter seconded. All in favor

2) Road Maintenance

Jean talked to Herb Jordan. No outstanding road maintenance at this time.

A discussion ensued regarding ATV use in light of the “Future home of Downeast Outfitters” on Route 9 at 193 and the potential for expanded use and accelerated road wear. All agreed that this was something to keep an eye on but nothing to act on at this time.

3) Treasurer’s Report

$1950 in dues received in October

$2100 in dues received in November

Current balance (after forthcoming deposit) of $19,404.14

Approximately 20 lot owners have not yet paid. Due date was within 30 days, which is now past. Late notices will go out shortly.

4) Discussion re: maintenance of additional association roads

Group agreed that options defined at last meeting still held. No updates.

Jean thinks that a discussion with Win will require specific roads that we feel are included. Peter will scan maps and distribute along with a description of which roads he thinks are included based on agreement in last board meeting. If all agree, Jean will then approach Herb Jordan for a quote.

Win asked about whether Herb Jordan uses gravel from pits on main road, and if by extension lot owners could do the same to maintain access roads. Win noted that in the past lot owners approached the paper company individually and had received permission. The following was noted in the 10/15/2008 board minutes: “A complaint was registered to Marlene Sullivan by a Maine State Forester regarding gravel being taken from East Beddington Lake Road gravel pits. Forester recommended that the association post to its website that camp owners should not remove gravel. It is illegal to do so.”

5) Next meeting

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 7:00pm.

Meeting adjourned at 7:42

Respectfully submitted,

Peter Aten, President
