Minutes to May 20, 2026 Board Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:18pm

Present: Peter Aten, Bill Leithiser, Jean Heath, Sara Stevens

  • Road conditions have not been great this spring. A lot of logging activity. Multiple grading passes have occurred, presumably by the folks who are logging, but potholes are returning quickly and the road surface has many rocks. Noticeably worse than prior years.
  • This continues a recent trend as discussed at last year's annual meeting, and coincides with more snow plowing as more people live on the road year-round.
  • The board agreed that additional maintenance, specifically adding new gravel, was necessary.
  • Peter has spoken with our contractor who set the expectation that based on budget it will likely be a multi-year project to address the full length of the road.
  • Peter motioned to approve up to $6000 for grading and gravel. Seconded and unanimously approved. This will exceed dues for the year and thus spend down the reserve, and we will plan to discuss the go-forward plan at the annual meeting after seeing how far this gets us.
  • Peter will follow up with the contractor to assure that gravel will be applied to the sections of the road most in need.
  • Jean will follow up with American Forest Management to see if we can coordinate on grading, and what they can contribute.

Respectfully submitted,

Peter Aten
